Myrtle C. Richmond, 86, passed away at the family home in Klipsan Beach on May 26, 2017.She was born in Sylvana, WA Jan. 6, 1932 to Olaf and Martha Remmen and grew up Seattle.  She attended schools in Sylvana and Broadway High School in Seattle. She worked for many years at Associated Groceries in Seattle in the frozen food department.On June 29, 1957 she married Sherman G. Richmond and moved into the family home in the Queen Anne area of Seattle where they lived for the next 40 years. They raised two daughters, Karin C. (Steele) of Kent and Thelma V. (Gaston) of Longview. She was very active in the Order of The Eastern Star, and served in many offices, both in the Seattle area and Ilwaco.  She loved salmon fishing, and was always so pleased to end the day knowing that she out-fished Sherman, either by getting the most fish or the biggest.She loved bowling in her younger years, gardening and the flowers and plants in her yard.She is survived by husband Sherman; daughters Karin and Thelma; grandchildren Ivan, Rachael, James (JL), Liddia; and four great-grandchildren.The family wishes to thank the Local Peninsula Posse, Harbor Homes Hospice, and all the many friends that helped to make the last days so pleasant for her.There will not be a formal service at her request, but a home reception to be held at a later date.Her guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
