Mary Kathleen Osborne

May 30, 1960 — January 5, 2017

Mary Kay Osborne, age 56, passed away January 5, 2017 at her residence in Chinook.  She was born at the Ilwaco hospital to Wallace “Buddy” and Mary Lou (Howard) Osborne.  She was a lifelong resident of Chinook  and graduated from Ilwaco High School in 1978. 

Mary Kay worked on fish processing ships in Alaska and at the Chinook Packing Company for several years. She enjoyed baking and pottery making. She was always ready for an adventure outside, enjoying hiking and riding her bicycle. A lover of animals, she had a pony, cats and her faithful dog Elsie was always at her side.

Mary Kay was her own gentle little soul and was kind to everyone. There was always an impish grin on her face.

 She is survived by her father and brother Kenny (Laura) Osborne of Chinook, a sister Peggy Osborne of Vancouver, aunts Kathi Miller of Vancouver and Doris (Tom) Dean of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her mother and her step-mother Jerry (Skeel) Osborne.

For those who wish to honor Mary Kay, donations may be made o the Pacific County Humane Society or Friends of Chinook School.

A celebration of life potluck will be held at the Fish Trap Pub on Highway 101 in Chinook Saturday February 25th from 2-5 pm.
