Eric M. Gaines

Eric M. Gaines, 41, died at his Naselle residence on June 14, 2016. A native of San Diego, California, he was born there November 23, 1974, the son of James and Suzanne (Trinkle) Gaines.

Following high school, he began work in the family paving business, moving to Naselle at age 20. On November 21, 1999 he married Angila Bernard.

Eric was a hard worker, operating paving equipment. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing, and loved his family dearly.

Survivors include his wife Angila Gaines; mother Suzanne Gaines; children Nicholas Gaines, Cameron Gaines and Tristan Gaines, all of Naselle; sisters Rachel Gaines (Josh Hiatt) of Longview, WA, Kelley Gaines Simons (London) of Las Vegas, NV and Kristen Gaines of Longivew; nieces Kiara Gaines and Abbigail Hiatt; nephews Keanu London, Kyler Settlermire and Evan Gaines Hiatt; and other members of his extended family.

Graveside rites will be held Sat., July 9, 2016, 1:00 PM at Peaceful Hill Cemetery, Naselle. A reception follows at Johnson's Park (the old Rosburg School) . His guestbook is available at penttilaschapel.com.
