Betty L. Nelson

Betty L. Nelson, 92, an 11 year resident of Chinook, died April 27, 2014 in Long Beach. The daughter of George and Flossie Williams, she was born in Mineral, Washington on January 10, 1922. Betty was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Tacoma. During her lifetime Betty was employed as a bartender, waitress, in a dry cleaners and as a telephone operator. On November 10, 2002 she married Chinook resident Cliff Nelson. He survives residing at the family home. Betty enjoyed traveling and quilting. She faithfully attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Chinook. Besides her husband, Betty is survived by members of her church family. Memorial services are scheduled for Sat., May 10, 2014, 11 AM at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Chinook with memorials requested to the church memorial fund.
