Ada F. Meador

Ada Florence Meador, 94, died peacefully February 15, 2014 at her Long Beach residence. Ada was born to Delbert and Florence Beach on December 17, 1919 in Warrensburg, Missouri. It was while attending nursing school that she met Herbert Meador and they married February 17, 1952. In 1979 they moved to the Peninsula from St. Helens, Oregon. Ada was known as a generous, selfless, loving and spunky individual. She enjoyed making quilts, spending time with her family (related and chosen), helping people and working in community service. Survivors include her daughter Joey Douglas, son Perry Meador, daughter Maxine Shumate and youngest son Steven Meador. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, 4 PM at the Long Beach Seventh-day Adtentist Church.
