Gary Lee Halvorson

Gary Lee Halvorson, 79, a resident of Ocean Park, died July 20, 2013 in Longview. A native of Sturgis, SD, he was born there May 23, 1934, the son of John and Laualla (Sager) Halvorson. Gary married Eleanor Ruby on September 25, 1952. This was a special bond of over 60 years and they always considered each other the love of their lives. She survives residing in Ocean Park. Gary was empployed as a log scaler prior to retirement on the Peninsula 18 years ago. Besides his wife Gary is survived by daughters Sherry (Tom) Nein and Joni (Rick) Tooley; son Mike (Donna) Halvorson; brother Elmer; grandchildren Chris, Jamie, Tim and Justin with a great-great grandchild on the way. Memorial service will be held Sat., July 27, 2013, 2 PM at the Peninsula Senior Activity Center in Klipsan Beach. His guestbook is available at www.penttilaschapel.com
