NEOLAE LOUISE ARCHER Neolae L. Archer, 83, a 34 year resident of the Peninsula, died September 11, 2012 at her Long Beach residence. The daughter of Samuel and Hester (Sharp) Culbertson, she was born in Grants Pass, Oregon on April 23, 1929. A high school graduate. Neolae was employed as a cook in restaurants in Portland, Oregon and was a licensed tax preparer prior to retirement when she moved to the coast. She held her private pilot's license since 1957 and loved aviation. Neolae was a director for P.A.C.E. in Ilwaco and was also a member of Ocean Park Eagles. Her family describes Neolae as "a hardworking, selfless woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was energetic, a joy to be around, and loved her children and grandchildren". Neolae married Royal Archer in November of 1977 and he died earlier. Survivors include her son Len Fierling; step-son Randy Archer; grandchildren Shawn Jackson, J.P. Fierling and Hester Fierling.
