Donald Jacobs

Donald V. Jacobs, 93 of Naselle died July 16, 2012 in Raymond. He has born June 16, 1919 in Seattle, WA to Frank and Eve (Luark) Jacobs. He grew up in the Elma area and attended school there. He was a graduate of Washington State University. He also served the country in the military. Don was a teacher by profession. His passion however was race walking, and he was even an Olympic semi-finalist in the sport. This adventure took him too many countries around the world, including Russia, Finland and England just to name a few. Don is survived by long time companion Diane McMurrough of Naselle as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at Noon August 11, 2012 at the Valley Bible Church in Rosburg. Graveside inurnment will take place at the family plot at the Wynoochee Cemetery in Montesano.
