Virginia Jo Dietrich

Virginia Jo Dietrich, 61, of Ocean Park, WA, former resident of Vancouver, WA, passed away January 6, 2007 with her family and friends at her side. Jo fought a valiant battle with cancer. She was born July 13, 1945 in Fallon, NV to her beloved parents Sid and Ruth (Ferebee) Hessey. Jo's father preceded her in death in 2005. Jo was the beautiful mother of five children, Lisa Geniece, Bridget, adam and Katie. Jo had made her home in Ocean park for the past five years. Daughter Bridget6 and her son made their home with Jo, Bridget was her caregiver for the past years. Jo had one sister, Marcia and her husband Chaplain Greg Duncan will officiate at the memorial. Jo loved her seven grandchildren: Sierra, Joshua, Destiny, David, Gavin, Dillon and Sidney. Their eyes sparkled as she 'shared' her love and wisdom with them. Her wit, humor and strength inspired all who met her. Friend's lives are forever blessed with her "being." Jo was a lady of many trades. She was a beautician for many years. Also avid gardener and floral designer. Jo was uniquely talented. Jo had a special love for animals, especially her chihauhua dogs. Jo loved nature and it's beauty. She was her father's shadow as a child, hunting and fishing with him. At her home in Ocean Park, Jo was at peace, the sounds of the ocean and the beauty around her enabled her to enjoy he family and friends. A Memorial service will be held Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Oysterville Church. A Celebration of Life Potluck will follow at the Oysterville Community Schoolhouse. In lieu of flowers, a donation basket will be available.
