Alyce Kjar

Alyce T. Kjar, 85, a resident of Long Beach, Washington the past 25 years, died January 2, 2007 in Ilwaco, Washington. Born November 26, 1921 in Kamloops, B. C., Canada, Alyce immigrated to the United States as a teenager, settling in the San Francisco Bay area. Following her marriage to Norm Kjar, she settled in Fresno, California. She resided there until moving to Long Beach. Alyce is remembered by her family as a loving and giving wife and mother, always concerned about others, and she will be missed. Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years; daughter Karen Anderson of Phoenix, AZ; son Niel Kjar of Long Beach, WA; grandchildren Tara and Brant Anderson.
