Charles E. Conaway of Washougal, WA, passed away on January 31, 2023 in Ocean Park, WA at the age of 75. Charles was born on December 30, 1947 in Vancouver, WA. to Charles and Luella Conaway.
Charles graduated from Evergreen High School and then went to work for the Camas paper Mill. Charles was drafted and served 2 years in the Army, stationed in Germany. After serving in the Army he moved back to Vancouver and then later to Washougal. He continued to work at the Camas paper mill where he spent nearly 40 years he working as a Rigger. Known to most people as Chuck, He made many friends working there during that time. He liked hunting and fishing, and enjoyed taking out his classic car for a spin on nice days. He was also a member of the local Moose Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his wife of 33 years Arlene Conaway who died in 2018, and granddaughter Melanie Conaway in 2013.
He is survived by his three daughters Rondie White of Ocean Park, Crystal Conaway, and Marie Conaway of Washougal; one grandson Tyler Kopetka; one granddaughter Bella Conaway; 2 great grandchildren; and one sister Jackie Allen of Odessa, WA.
There will be a private family celebration held at a later date.
