Naselle Washington

Debra “Debbie” Ann (Timmerman) Reddig passed away peacefully on September 5th, at her home in Naselle, Washington.

Debbie was the oldest of 3, born to Robert and Viola (Boston) Timmerman in Glasgow, Montana on April 26th, 1955. Her childhood was spent in Fort Peck, MT, where she attended school, eventually graduating from Glasgow High School in 1973.

After graduation, Debbie worked at several businesses in Glasgow. While there, she met the love of her life, Jerry Reddig, when he rescued her after she got stuck in a ditch off of Tampico Road. Debbie attended nursing school in Havre and earned her LPN certification, and after that Jerry and Debbie were married on August 28th, 1976, in Lustre, MT. They made their home on a farm in the Tampico area, and Debbie learned all that was required to be a farmer’s wife. She especially liked raising sheep.

Jerry and Debbie welcomed three children to their union; Lindsey, Levi, and Kalyn. In 1990, the family moved off the farm into Glasgow, before eventually settling in Stevensville, MT in 1994.

Debbie worked until her retirement in the Bitterroot Valley/Missoula area, taking on various nursing roles during that time. Jerry and Debbie retired in 2014 and spent the next 8 years living in their RV full time and traveling around the country, exploring new places and visiting family. She fell in love with the coastal area of the Pacific Northwest, and she and Jerry decided to settle down in the small community of Naselle, WA in 2022.

Debbie was creative and had many hobbies that reflected that over the years, including ceramics, quilting, and stained glass. She had an eye for decorating, and her home (including her RV, for a time) was always an inviting place to be. Debbie spent countless hours on the beach, searching for interesting treasures and watching the waves. She loved giving and receiving hugs, and was always up for a cuddle, especially from a grandkid. She loved her family, her kids, and her grandkids deeply, and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Reddig of Naselle, WA; sister Patsy (Vernon) Buerkle of Glasgow, MT; brother Bob (Lisa) Timmerman of Elberta, AL; daughter Lindsey (Gary) Huck of Hood River, OR; son Levi Reddig of Florence, MT; daughter Kalyn (Kevin) Vogel of Fort Peck, MT. She was a proud grandma to Piper, Mason, and Lincoln.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Viola Timmerman, and parents-in-law Calvin and Martha Reddig, and Mary Reddig.

Psalms 16: 8, 11 - “I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.” “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”

A celebration of life will be held for Debbie at the Naselle Assembly of God church in Naselle, WA.
