Erin Thress

May 10, 1994 — June 4, 2024

Eryn Leigh Hemingway Thress of Long Beach, Washington passed away on June 4, 2024. Her sudden loss was unexpected, and we are profoundly saddened. Eryn was 30 years of age.

Eryn was born on May 10, 1994 in Boise, Idaho to Frank and Randeena Thress Hemingway. Randeen passed away in May 1996 and Gregory & Darlene Thress adopted Eryn their niece.

Eryn lived with her parents in Beaverton, Oregon, Mill Creek, Washington, and Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Eryn lived briefly in Meridian, Idaho where her parents retired and then moved to the place that was a long-time dream of hers: the Washington Coast.

The family has many fond memories of adventures to the Tri-Cities to visit grandparents, the San Juan Islands, the Oregon Coast, Hawaii, Cape Cod, Washington D.C., Madison, Nebraska, many places in Colorado and a church choir trip to Czech Republic and Israel.

Eryn loved to write and kept journals. At a young age, Eryn had a great passion for reading. She was in highly capable classes during her elementary school years. When she was eleven, she came a Christian and was baptized at Dillion Reservoir in Denver. She loved the ocean, music, to paint, and draw. She was an extremely sweet, kind and compassionate person to others with a bubbly personality. She love her dogs, Vulcan & Hemi and her 2005 Jeep Wrangler she named Trigger.

She graduated in 2012 from Highland Ranch High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She briefly attended University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She loved healthcare and she earned her Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) while in high school. She also was an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), a Certified Medical Assistant with Centura Health, and also a phlebotomist. Over the years, she worked at various healthcare/medical facilities.

Eryn is survived by her parents, Greg and Darlene Thress; her ex-husband, Michael Nation; her half-sister, Kristin Catt and her husband, Andrew; her half-brother, Kyle Tuttle and his wife, Liana; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

A “Celebration of Life” for Eryn Hemingway Thress was held at the Mint Barrel Barn Event Center, 9107 W. McMillan Road in Nampa ID from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, August 18th.
