Long Beach

Gary Rian Anderson, 44, passed away in his sleep on May 26, 2025, in Long Beach, Washington.

Born on October 24, 1980, Gary grew up in Portland, Oregon, where he attended Franklin High School before graduating in Long Beach, Washington. He found a deep connection to the coastal community and made it his home.

Gary most recently worked at Sid’s Market in Long Beach, where he cherished the camaraderie of his coworkers and the warmth of the beach town. His passion for auto repair and car restoration was well known among those who knew him. He especially looked forward to the Annual Long Beach Rod Run each year. A lifelong fan of WWE Wrestling, Gary’s enthusiasm for the sport began in childhood and remained with him throughout his life.

He was a devoted son to Pamela Winter and Robert Winter, and George Anderson; a caring brother to Heather Harris; and a proud uncle to Brinlee Harris and Lincoln Harris. He shared a loving relationship with his girlfriend and soulmate, Anita Lock. Gary also held dear the memory of Chevy, his beloved dog of 18 years.

Gary found spiritual grounding at All Saints Episcopal Church in Portland.
