Gerald “Jerry” Lyn Green passed away on Feb 9, 2025 at the age of 59 years, to be reunited with those who have passed before him.
Jerry was born on October 4, 1966 to Richard “Dick” Green and Mary K Green “Watts” in South Bend, WA.
Jerry attended South Bend High School where he Graduated in 1985. Jerry participated in all things High School related, including a variety of sports, namely Basketball, Football and Track/Cross Country.
After graduating from South Bend High School Jerry worked for three years in the timber industry, including falling timber for Weyerhaeuser. He then was employed by the Pacific County Public Utilities District (PUD) where he became a Journeyman Linemen and eventually advancing to an Assistant Superintendent.
Jerry resided in the Pacific County area nearly his entire life where he was known by and engaged with a broad group of people.
Jerry donated his time as a volunteer fireman in both South Bend and Long Beach over the years. He also volunteered time toward teaching Firearm Safety and Hunter Education to local youth, as well as running chains for the Naselle football team for many years.
Jerry’s love from his earliest years was for the Great Outdoors. His interests were Hunting, Fishing, Trapping, falling trees. Jerry simply enjoyed all that the Pacific Northwest landscape has to offer.
As his children became of age, he was very involved in supporting and coaching them through their youth and high sports. Jerry was very dedicated to sharing his knowledge of the sport of Basketball, Track and Cross Country with his girls, resulting in their participation at the State level. Jerry was very proud of the enthusiasm his daughters developed for the outdoors and the time and success they shared while hunting and fishing together.
Jerry held a genuine interest in the lives and activities of his numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed following their participation in individual school sports, supporting them in person and from a distance, as they were mostly out of his local area. He showed a great level of love and appreciation toward their individual achievements.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his beloved mother Mary K. and father Richard Green, as well as his brother-in-law Steve Koplitz (and two great Nephews).
Jerry is survived by his daughters Madison (Ryan), Katie (Brandon) and Emily, granddaughter Mia and grandson Brooks. His brothers Brian (Kelly) Green of Cashmere, and Ron (Jodi) Green of Buckley and sister Marla Koplitz of Enumclaw. Jerry is also survived by ten loving nieces and nephews and their families.
A Memorial service to celebrate Jerry’s life is planned for March 14, 2026 at 1:00pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the church basement.
