Jayne Bailey

May 29, 1953 — May 24, 2025

Seaview, WA

Jayne Bailey passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Seaview, Washington, at the age of 71.

Jayne was born in Chehalis, Washington, to Robert Yeoman and Marjorie (Berry). Her step-father, Don Younghans, was an important part of her life, and loved her as his own. She spent the majority of her life in Chehalis, where she was an active and spirited student, and cheerleader at W.F. West High School. During those years, she formed many lifelong friendships, which she cherished and maintained throughout her life.

In 1984, Jayne married Daniel Bailey, and they welcomed their daughter, Maggie May, in 1986. After spending time as a stay-at-home mom, she went on to work at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute, where she built lasting bonds with a group of close friends lovingly known as “The Pooh Gang.”

Later in life, Jayne and Dan fulfilled a shared dream of living by the ocean, relocating to Seaview, WA—a place they had long vacationed and loved. Winters were often spent in Mexico, while summers brought family and friends together in Seaview.

Jayne was known for her warm and gentle spirit, radiant smile, and exceptional kindness. She was a comforting presence, a thoughtful gift-giver, and a safe space for those around her. Her creativity shone through in every aspect of her life—especially in her handmade clothing, crafting, and festive decorating. She had an unmatched talent for making every holiday and occasion special with her impeccable eye for detail.

She is survived by her “honey” Daniel Bailey; daughter Maggie Adamson; son-in-law Christopher Adamson; and grandchildren Summer and Luke Adamson. She is also survived by her brother Gary Younghans; uncles Bob Berry, Curt Berry, and Sam Whitford-Bernhardt; brother-in-law Sam Bailey; cousins “Two-y” (Robert Berry II), Gwen Brown, Kim Fleck, Trish Berry, Bruce Berry, Megan Gallup, Tarry Younghans, and Rick Younghans; and nieces/nephew Lauren Honemann, Tanya Bailey, Toni Bailey, and Bryan Bailey.

Jayne was preceded in death by her father, Robert Yeoman; mother, Marjorie Younghans; stepfather, Don Younghans; stepson, Tyler Bailey; and in-laws Herbert Bailey, Betty Bailey, and Jim Bailey.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6th at Claquato Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at the Adna Grange.
