On Friday, June 21, 2024, Nancy Ann (Warren) Scafe, age 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Ocean Park, Washington following a long illness which she fought bravely. She is survived by David, her husband of 52 years, son Nathan, his wife Emily and two grandchildren Gwen (aka Mikey) and Truman.
Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, she graduated Wilson High School in 1970, and went on to marry and raise a family. Nancy lived and worked in many places along the west coast as her husband trained and traveled to pursue his career as a professional pilot. It was a team accomplishment.
Nancy was well known for her cheerful humor and sassy attitude. With her cheerful outlook, she was never at a loss for making many great friends along the way. Her huge laugh and silliness was matched only by her love and compassion for others. She was a loyal friend. In her private moments Nancy would create and make quilts and other handmade treasures of her own design for friends and loved ones.
Nancy touched many lives along her journey and she will be missed by so many more than she could ever realize. The family would like to give thanks to her medical doctors and sincere gratitude to the members of Hospice Care for their compassion and tremendous support during her transition.
There will be a Celebration of Life on July 13th, 2024 from 12pm-3pm at the Scafe home in Surfside, WA. In lieu of food and flowers, please make a donation in Nancy's honor to the South Pacific Humane Society of Long Beach, WA.
