Pamela Meredith Gardner passed away in her home in Ocean Park, Washington, on May 23, 2025, at the age of 68.
Born on August 18, 1956, in Sidney, Nebraska, Pamela was the beloved daughter of Theodore Meredith and Katherine Rupp. She spent her early years in Nebraska before making her way to California, where she met the love of her life, Dolan Gardner. The two were married on December 15, 1984, and welcomed their son, Dolan Gardner Jr., on April 11, 1987.
In 1997, the Gardner family moved to Ocean Park, Washington, where Pamela found joy and purpose working as a mail carrier for the local community until her retirement in 2018. Her warm smile and kind heart made her a cherished figure on her route and in the lives of those she served.
Pamela was a true artist at heart—gifted in drawing and painting, with a deep appreciation for music that brought her happiness and inspiration throughout her life. Her creativity was only matched by her compassion. A free spirit with a big heart, Pamela had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel seen and loved. She treasured her friendships and held her family close to her heart.
Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Dolan Gardner; her son, Dolan Gardner Jr.; and her mother, Katherine Rupp, all in 2013. Though her heart bore great loss, she remained a source of strength and light to those around her.
Pamela leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and artistic beauty. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Pamela’s life will be held on July 12th at 1:00 PM at the Eagles Lodge in Ocean Park, Washington. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
