Ronnie Rhoades

Ronnie (Ron) E. Rhoades, who was born on July 24, 1953 in Michigan, passed away in the afternoon of March 22, 2023 at the age of 69 in Ocean Park, Washington. He passed at the home he loved, with his beloved dogs by his side. Ron is preceded in death by parents Lonnie and Helen Rhoades. 

Ron has always loved flying kites, cooking for his friends and family, beach walks with his husband and their dogs, and snorkeling. He fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and eventually retired to Ocean Park with his husband.

Ron loved diva music and enjoyed lounging on the beach with Vaden while having long chats about life. He enjoyed regaling his friends and family with stories of his time living in Hawaii while managing the Banana Moon and working as the Estate Manager for the Balmers. 

Ron and his husband bestowed all of their love on their fur babies. In lieu of flowers, his husband requests that donations be made in Ron’s name to Wigglin Home Boxer Rescue. Ron is survived by his husband, Vaden Newman; his siblings Dean (Sherry) Rhoades, Jeff (Karen) Rhoades, and Sue Appel; and multiple nieces and nephews. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date this Summer.
