Rose Conto

Rose Mary Conto, born on December 31,1936 in South Dakota, passed away on May 4, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rose and her husband Chuck were business owners (Chuck’s Restaurant) and longtime residents of the peninsula. Rose moved to the peninsula with Chuck in 1958 and she moved to Las Vegas in 2018. Rose and Chuck were participants in many local programs and clubs. They especially enjoyed golfing.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Chuck and her daughters, Lisa and Teresa. She is survived by her daughter Penny (Jeff) and stepson Charlie, along with her grandchildren, Lee (Thuy), Charlene (Steve), and Audra, and her great-grandchildren, Austin, Remy and Natalia.

In lieu of tears, Rose would prefer that you raise a glass (or two) in her honor and make a donation to the local food banks or the South Pacific County Humane Society. After all, she always said there's nothing a good meal and a wagging tail can't fix.

Rose will be laid to rest at Lone Fir Cemetery, beside her husband, Chuck. A graveside service for family members and close friends will be held later this year.
