In memory of Shirley Jean Ingman who passed on July 25, 2023. She was born October 31, 1938, resided in Long Beach, WA. She passed away in Portland OR.
She was born to Blanche and Thomas Jones in Nashville, TN. She spent a good amount of her childhood growing up in Puerto Rico with her mother and stepfather, and later in CA.
She met her husband Gunnar Ingman in California, they were married for 58 years, prior to his passing in 2022.
Shirley had many professions, most notably owning a tavern in Bellevue with her husband named Gunnar's Village Tavern, and when they relocated to Long Beach in 1990, they owned and operated a small convenience store, until their retirement.
She leaves behind 3 daughters, 1 son, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Shirley will be remembered by family and friends for her beautiful crocheting, her wonderful sense of humor, her love for gardening and for her family, her love for reading and her smart sense of style.
No funeral services will be held at this time, but we invite you to celebrate Shirley's life in your own way, perhaps raising a toast to her memory or performing an unsolicited act of kindness for someone less fortunate.
We love you Mom; you are sorely missed and will never be forgotten. Until we meet again..
