Virginia Jeanne Beckner, passed away on December 15, 2023, in Chinook, Washington at the age of 88. Born on September 5, 1935, in Springerville, Arizona to George Woodruff and Ollie Wells, Virginia led a remarkable life filled with dedication and compassion.

Virginia's impressive career spanned years of teaching and mentoring aspiring nurses at Loma Linda University School of Nursing. Her commitment to education and her students was unwavering. She approached her role with utmost professionalism and inspired countless individuals to pursue their dreams in the field of nursing.

A true advocate for higher learning, Virginia earned a Masters of Science in Nursing and became a Nurse Practitioner. Her expertise was invaluable in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Virginia's guidance and knowledge have left an indelible mark on the nursing community.

Beyond her professional achievements, Virginia was known for her adventurous spirit and zest for life. She cherished every opportunity to explore the outdoors, whether it be skiing down snowy slopes or hiking through scenic landscapes. In quieter moments, she found solace in playing the piano for friends and family.

One of Virginia's proudest accomplishments was her volunteer work in various parts of the world. She dedicated her time and skills to making a difference in places such as Guam, Kenya, and even Mother Teresa's AIDS home in San Francisco. Through these experiences, Virginia touched countless lives with her selflessness and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Virginia always looked good, and was adamant about seeing God in Heaven and kissing His feet! She wants to see her family in Heaven, that's it.

Family held a special place in Virginia's heart. She is survived by her loving son Robert Beckner, granddaughter Jeanne Williams, and granddaughter Rebekah Connelly.

A Celebration of Life service will be held to honor Virginia's remarkable journey at Penttila's Chapel by the Sea Funeral Home in Long Beach, Washington on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at 2pm and will provide an opportunity for friends and family to gather together and share cherished memories.
