Willie Garman

March 15, 1963 — March 1, 2024

Willie Ray Garman, Jr., age 60, passed from this life on March 1, 2024, at his home in Ocean Park, WA.

Will was born in Stockton, CA, on March 15, 1963, to Judith Bella Sousa and Willie Ray Garman, Sr. He was raised in Linden, CA, and went to school there. He did not graduate but later earned his GED. At age 17 he married Theresa Cameron. They had three daughters and the marriage ended in divorce after 20 years.

Will did a variety of jobs starting with farm work in his early years, digging bait clams with his father-in-law in the delta, cutting firewood with his girls, buying and selling merchandise at flea markets and did what he could to earn a living. Eventually he found steady work driving truck for Ferrellgas delivering propane and selling and setting tanks. A lifelong friendship was formed with Shawn Diehl through this job. In later years he worked for Serenity Insurance specializing in SR-22 policies, and then became a dialysis technician before retiring on disability in 2013.

He met his late wife, Violet Harrison, in 2007. Five years later they were married in Bullhead City, AZ, and enjoyed five years of marriage before cancer took her life in March of 2017.

On an evening of boredom six months later, he answered an ad on the computer and met his last love, Rosemond Styczinski. Together they enjoyed some grand adventures starting with camping in an A-frame trailer and eventually in their motorhome, doing some dancing, going to festivals and live music, taking up kayaking, trying new restaurants, and finally realizing a lifelong dream of living by the ocean beach in October of 2023. Over the last 5 years he struggled with a number of health issues and challenges but always kept a good attitude and tried to enjoy what he could.

Will was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Judy, and his wife Violet and ex-wife Theresa.

He is survived by his younger brother Richard Garman, Redding CA, daughter Kelli (Greg) Rainer, Spokane, WA, daughter Danielle Garman, Texas, and daughter Jennifer Wilson, Spokane, WA, step-daughter Timi (Ken) Cecka, Bainbridge Island, WA, grandchildren Joshua and Jaxson Rainer, Benjamin Gamiz, Amari Simmons, and Aubrey and Oliver Cecka, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, his dearest friend, Shawn Diehl, Missoula, MT, and his partner Rosemond Styczinski, Ocean Park, WA.

His final wish was to be buried at sea which is being arranged by Penttila's Chapel by the Sea in Long Beach, WA. when weather permits.
